23rd March 2018 - With the dust starting to settle from elections excitement, we've been delighted to hear that so many of you experienced your best voter turnouts, making use of real-time stats and voting on the App to keep engagement up and encourage members to get involved. Well done to everyone who works so hard at this time of year and congratulations to your new officer teams! The next topic might not be so exciting but it's something we should all be preparing for - GDPR. We will continue to post useful information and updates on our GDPR page and will soon be sending out your contract variation letters. Please look out for this letter arriving as it will need your urgent attention ahead of the May 2018 regulation changes.

Roll up, roll up - get your Activities Dashboard set up in time for spring 

The Activities Dashboard is now available and free to use as part of your core MSL System. It gives a view of your student groups' current activities and useful information including member targets, charity contributions, drivers and first aiders. Contact us to enable this new feature.

ICO guidance now available on lawful bases for processing data 

If you missed the March update to our GDPR page, now's your chance to check out the ICO's comprehensive guidance on the six available lawful bases for processing data. This includes a checklist to help as you decide the most appropriate basis for your activities (particularly relevant are legal reason and legitimate interest) and two examples illustrating different bases.  Visit our GDPR page to access this guidance.
