19th July 2017 - Membership Solutions Ltd (MSL) is delighted to announce that the University of Strathclyde Students’ Association (USSA) has selected the core MSL System along with the online elections and the volunteering and employability modules to support its student engagement objectives over the next three years.

The University of Strathclyde is the third largest in Scotland and is host to a lively and thriving students’ association, but it is still keen to improve its branding and image for its 22,000 members. The USSA runs bars, catering and entertainment and supports members who want to run their own societies and sports clubs or take part in volunteering activities. The Association also incorporates a dedicated Mature Students’ Association. The MSL System will support the USSA with its day to day engagement activities and allow them to reach even more members with support, campaigning and participation opportunities.

Manish Joshi, Chief Executive of the University of Strathclyde Students’ Association, commented: “We offer an extensive range of services and activities, all designed to support students have the best time possible at the University of Strathclyde. However, we were finding that our members had little awareness of the opportunities available to them. By developing our communication channels, in particular our website, we will be able to better promote events, activities, services and much more. Thereby enhancing the overall student experience.”

Calvin Hepburn, President of University of Strathclyde Students’ Association added: "There are many exciting developments taking shape across campus that strive to make our student community even more vibrant. There is a new Sports Centre due to open in 2018 and the Union itself will be moving in the next three years. Our aim is to keep the student community connected and up-to-date with what is happening in and around their campus and the new website affords us the opportunity to do this on a channel we are sure students will embrace."

Colin Watson, Chief Executive of Membership Solutions Ltd, said: “We are delighted to welcome the USSA to the MSL community. With a large student membership, the USSA has specific challenges in ensuring every member feels included and represented. We are excited to be able to work with them as they provide a great experience for every one of those students during their time at university.”
