29th February 2017 - Sheffield Hallam University has chosen to implement the MSL System to support their 40+ sports clubs with a new website, membership management facilities, messaging capabilities, events, ecommerce, ticketing, community and feedback resources. The sports clubs will also utilise MSL’s online elections platform for their annual committee officer elections.

MSL is delighted to announce that Sheffield Hallam University has chosen to use the MSL core membership management system along with its online elections module to support their sports clubs. The University recently took on the support and management of the sports clubs from the Students’ Union, itself an established client of MSL, and have committed to providing the support and resources needed to promote sports participation with the implementation of a new digital engagement platform.

Sheffield Hallam’s Sports organisation comprises over 40 sports clubs each managed by its own committee.  The clubs will get their first taste of the MSL System as they make use of the MSL Elections module this month (February) for the annual election of student officers to these committees.

Richard McGloin, Director of Commercial Services at Sheffield Hallam University, commented: “We are looking to develop a student focused system which will allow us to communicate with our sports clubs at the same time as giving them ownership of their finances. The MSL System will allow us to maintain the strong working partnership we have developed with the clubs over the past 12 months.

Colin Watson, Chief Executive of Membership Solutions Ltd, added: “MSL is pleased to be working with Sheffield Hallam University, fostering even stronger links with their student community by supporting their successful programme of sports club participation. We already know that students at Sheffield Hallam are keen to engage with the additional social opportunities available to them through clubs and societies, which is why are particularly delighted to be able to offer even greater support to the Sports organisation there which boasts an array of up and coming national and international sports talent.”
